Backgrounds:

What you did before becoming an interstellar adventurer. Backgrounds help determine your character’s story (past and future); as well as, giving you an idea of the role you can play in the party. Each background has a description as well as suggested stats and skills. You can choose whatever stats and skills you want for any background. But using the suggestions is the quickest and easiest way to have a character who will be able to hold their own fulfilling a specific role for the party. When filling in background details you can roll to decide the details, choose from the list, or come up something original.

Veteran

You've never shied away from battle. You were a soldier in one of the many armies in the Eradonis galaxy. Trained in the military arts.
